Pac n Grnd

Grind once. Five capsules filled.

Pac n Grnd screws onto the included grinder and fills a full day of dosing capsules in one grind. Made with medical patients in mind, it takes the fiddly, fine-finger work out of preparing your doses.

  • Five capsules filled evenly, straight from the grinder
  • Nothing to hold, tip or tamp
  • Easier for hands with reduced grip, dexterity or movement
  • Grinder and five dosing capsules included

Pac n Grnd on the open grinder: the grinder teeth, the orange dock and holder, and the metal base, with the lid alongside

How it works

Filling by hand means repeating the same fiddly steps for every capsule. Pac n Grnd sits between the grinder's teeth and its base and fills all five at once.

The whole routine, start to finish. Animated from the real CAD files of the dock and holder.

The usual way

  1. Grind
  2. Open the grinder
  3. Scoop herb into a capsule
  4. Press it down
  5. Repeat four more times
  6. Wipe up what you spilled
  7. Clean the scoop or tray

Every capsule filled by hand

With Pac n Grnd

  1. Screw it onto the grinder
  2. Grind and give it a tap
  3. Lids on, unscrew the base

Made for patients. Easier on your hands.

Filling capsules by hand takes a steady grip and fine finger control: pinching small amounts, lining up tiny capsules and pressing them down, five times over. For patients living with arthritis, tremors, chronic pain, nerve conditions or limited movement, that can be the hardest part of the routine. Pac n Grnd takes those steps away.

No pinching or scooping

The grinder fills the capsules for you, so you never have to handle loose herb or line up a capsule by hand.

Three simple movements

Screw it on, give it a tap, twist to release. No small tools, no precise pouring, no pressing down.

Less spilled, less wasted

Everything goes into the capsules instead of onto the table, which matters when your herb is prescribed and costly.

I made it to save time and mess.

Filling dosing capsules was fiddly and tedious, especially when I was preparing a few days' worth or heading out and wanted to take some with me. Grind, open the grinder, then fill each capsule with a little scoop and a pinch, one pod at a time. I'd be lucky if I didn't spill any.

The filling trays I tried didn't fix it. They're made to fill 40 capsules in one go, which means grinding weeks' worth at once, and ground herb starts drying out the moment it's ground. By the end of a batch it's harsh and has lost its flavour. You still had to move it from the grinder to the tray by hand, too. What I wanted was to fill a day's worth, fresh, straight from the grinder.

So I set out to engineer one. Every version was modelled, printed and tested against the grinder's thread, the funnel angles and how each capsule seats, then refined and tested again. More than thirty iterations later, the herb drops straight from the grinder into five capsules, evenly, with nothing left on the table.

I use it every day. Now I'm making a small batch for anyone else who wants to save the time and the mess.

Over thirty prototypes, each one tested and refined until the fit and flow were right.

Precision engineered

We hold every part to high standards. Every angle and tolerance was printed, tested and refined until the whole thing worked: the grinder threads on, the holder locks, the herb spreads evenly, and the capsules drop out in one move.

Modelled so nothing is left behind

We took the CAD model of the dock and traced every point on its surface downhill, the way a grain of herb would slide, to see where it ends up. The answer is the same everywhere: in a capsule. The model was then checked the only way that counts, with real herb, on the bench, version after version.

Flow map of the dock from above: white arrows trace every point on the orange surface downhill into one of five dark throats, each marked 20% of the surface, with dashed lines marking the watersheds between funnels
Flow map. Every arrow is a path a grain would take. The dashed lines are the watersheds between funnels: wherever it lands, it drains into one of the five capsules.
100%

of the surface drains into a capsule. No dead spots, no ledges, nowhere for herb to collect.

20%

to each of the five funnels. The star-shaped centre splits the surface into five equal shares, so every capsule gets the same.

14 mm

is the furthest any grain travels before it drops. The average is 4 mm. Short paths mean a quick, clean fill.

Three angles do the work

  • 30° collection slope. Shallow enough that the grind spreads evenly across all five funnels, steep enough that it keeps moving.
  • 60° final drop. The last stretch into each throat is steep, so nothing clings to the wall.
  • A star, not a plateau. The five ridges meet at a single point in the centre, so there is no flat spot for herb to sit on.

How it compares

The blunt truth: most filling tools still need you to move the herb from the grinder by hand. Pac n Grnd is the step in between, so you skip that part.

Why it's worth £34.99

Grinder and capsules included

You get a 63 mm three-layer metal grinder matched to the dock, plus five dosing capsules, so it works straight out of the box.

Under 10p a day

Used daily for a year, it works out at less than 10p a day for a quicker, cleaner routine. Budget friendly, in every sense of the word.

Fresh every day

Fill a day's worth straight from the grinder instead of grinding weeks ahead for a tray. Ground herb dries out fast, so every capsule you fill is fresh.

Burning questions

Will it fit my own grinder?

It's made to fit the grinder that comes with it. Grinder threads vary a lot between brands, so we include one that's matched. A version for other grinders is planned.

Which vaporizers does it work with?

Any that take standard 15 mm dosing capsules, such as the Storz & Bickel Mighty, Mighty+ and Crafty+. If your capsules are that type, you're set.

Is it a medical device?

No. It's a filling aid for dosing capsules. It doesn't measure or change your prescribed dose; it just does the filling for you, without the pinching and scooping.

Are capsules included?

Yes, five come in the box. It also works with any standard 15 mm dosing capsules you already have.

How do I get the capsules out?

Attach the lids, unscrew the base, and the pods will all drop through.

Can I pay by card?

Yes. Order through our Etsy shop or Amazon to pay by card (£39.99). Ordering direct by email and paying by bank transfer gets the £34.99 founding price.

How much is delivery?

£3.49 to anywhere in the UK, tracked, usually 2–3 working days after dispatch.

What if it isn't right for me?

You can return it within 14 days of delivery. If anything arrives damaged, email us a photo and we'll replace it.

The first 20, and your honest feedback

This is the very first batch of Pac n Grnd: just 20 units. Every one is logged, so I know exactly who has which unit and can follow up personally.

In return for being one of the first, I'd really value your honest feedback: what works, what doesn't, and what you'd change. A couple of weeks after delivery I'll email you a few quick questions. Every reply gets read, and it will shape the next batch.
